Navigating the state and regional transportation process can be very confusing. The list of transportation-related agencies is often referred to as an alphabet soup of acronyms and their roles are just as varied. Add to the mix additional planning processes and shifts in funding and priorities, and even those who are engaged in the issue on a regular basis can become frustrated when sorting through the transportation maze.

This workshop is designed for both those who are new to the world of transportation planning and for those who would like to reorient themselves to the new landscape. It will give an overview and update on the key players and processes related to transportation planning and implementation in the metro Atlanta region.  Potential shifts in federal and state funding and the connection between land use and transportation will be discussed.
